3. What do you believe?

We study the teachings of Jesus found in the Bible. A basic outline is in our Faith Statement.

4. Is Catalyst an emergent church?

Yes- If by emergent you mean that we seek to be relevant to the next generation, many of whom are postmodern thinkers.

Maybe- If by emergent you mean that we challenge the structures of traditional institutionalized church that often get in the way of its mission. We respect the past, but also believe things must be contextualized and reconstructed from time to time.

No- If by emergent you mean that we are revising the basic elements of faith with a relativist worldview.

For more commentary on this we invite you to listen to our iTunes Podcast on March 15, entitled: 'Changing Churches'

5. Why does Catalyst seem so unique?

A lot of it has to do with our commitment to our core values and a ministry philosophy geared towards doing things differently. For a more long-winded explanation read: Mapping Our DNA: Who We Are
