Provoke Change

To us, being a Catalyst is to be an agent of change in the model of Jesus. Our faith is not for our own personal enjoyment or fulfillment. Rather, our faith is our invitation into a global redemptive community striving to add beauty, reconciliation, and restoration to every corner of this broken planet. The Scriptures teach that as one 'body' we are each different yet essential parts; that we are each 'ministers'- and so we call that out in those among us, to live a life of compassionate action.

As we seek to love people because we see the image of God in each of them, we find ourselves loving and worshiping God in the most tangible way possible. To put it simply: Loving People is Loving God.

II. Catalyst Service Fund:

You can donate or do a fundraiser for the Catalyst Service Fund, which is managed by the Humboldt Area Foundation. It is an endowment that perpetually invests in hands-on community service led by Life Groups. The idea is to grow the principal, while the interest creates mini-grants for service projects. As the principle grows, so will the size and quantity of the mini-grants generated by the interest. This method means that the grants are small for now, but it is part of a long-term vision of seeing Christian service in our community having an enduring source of funding.

See the Catalyst Service Fund page.
